Taylor Financial specializes in comprehensive financial planning to help clients plan, grow and protect their assets through all stages of life. As a fiduciary, Ed Taylor has a sworn and legal obligation to put the interests of the client first, to provide unbiased and trustworthy financial advice.

Ed Taylor is the Founder and President of Taylor Financial. Mr. Taylor started in the personal financial planning industry in 1998 and achieved the designation of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP®) in 2003.  He has worked closely with clients as they transition through different stages of their financial planning life. Mr. Taylor's reputation in the industry has been established by focusing on the individual needs of clients rather than providing generic advice. His first priority is helping you take care of yourself and your family.  Mr. Taylor takes the time to learn in-depth about your personal situation, identify your goals, and understand your tolerance for risk. He passionately believes that long-term relationships that encourage open and honest communication have been the cornerstone of his successful career.

The CFP® designation is the benchmark for professional standards and ethics in the financial planning industry. Mr. Taylor has also been accepted into membership of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA). NAPFA is the nation's premier organization of Fee-Only advisors. Nationally, only 2% of practicing financial advisors have been accepted for membership in NAPFA.

Mt. Taylor is one of the few financial advisors in North Carolina permitted to offer Dimensional funds. This permission was granted through extensive scrutiny of Mr. Taylor's background, business model and investment philosophy. There is no obligation or compensation based on this relationship. Dimensional's approach to investing is based on the science of the markets not the noise in the markets.

Mr. Taylor holds both a BA (1986) and MA (1989) from North Carolina State University. His over 20 years of community involvement has included such activities as coaching his children's soccer teams, previously serving as the Treasurer on the Board of Directors of the Friends of Public Radio (WHQR) and participating in fund raising for Honor Flight
