George Middleton has established a solid and well-balanced professional work record that provides him the knowledge and expertise to successfully manage the personal investment portfolios of his clients. He has earned the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant, Mr. Middleton has been certified as a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
The CFA designation is awarded by the CFA Institute after completion of a rigorous three-year program concentrating on professional ethics, financial accounting, economics, equity and fixed-income security analysis, and portfolio management techniques.
His work experience includes serving as Chief Financial Officer at Pioneer Leasing and the Nicewonger Company Inc. In addition, he was a Treasurer with the J.H. Kelly Company, Controller with Ole Hansen and Sons Inc. and worked as a computer programmer at Reynolds Metals, Timberline Systems, and NASA.
His educational background features an MBA in Finance from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Rochester Institute of Technology. Mr. Middleton has also taught Computer Programming at the University of Washington and Statistics at Clark College.
A member of the Washington and Oregon Society of CPA’s, Mr. Middleton serves on the OSCPA Personal Finance Planning Committee. He is also a member of the CFA Institute, the Portland Society of Financial Analysts, and the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA). He is a member of the Vancouver Rotary and is married with two daughters.
